The Status of Women Central offers a safe, non-judgemental space for women. Our women’s centre opened in Grand Falls-Windsor in July of 2002, and has been serving women in the Central west region of Newfoundland ever since.

Support and Advocacy
If you need help navigating systems or addressing issues related to relationships, housing, income and much more, we can help.
Meeting Space
If you are looking for a space for your group/organization to meet, our centre may be available.
Lending Library
We have a specialized library of books, videos and brochures containing many different topics that you might find helpful.
Presentations/Workshops
We address a number of issues such as women in leadership, gender roles, stereotyping, self esteem, body image and violence.
Consultation
We respond to requests from government and community organizations for consultations around the various provincial issues and initiatives.
